(Title complements of Paul Simon) Mom's camera has come to my house to stay. I think Mom had this camera for about 19-20 years. I remember her taking photography classes.
I remember when Zach was a baby, Mom would put him on her knees and take pictures of his nose. When Zach was 2 or 3, when he saw a camera, he would give a "Camera" smile, not a normal smile. This was a huge smile, complete with all of the teeth in his mouth at the time. Wendy and I both have learned the "Camera" smile, but without Mom, our lives would be less documented.
Mom is well known for taking her own picture. I think I will be happy on the other side of the lens for a while. Having Mom's camera puts her with me while my life moves on. Together, we saw where Zach will go to school and play baseball over the past couple of days.
